The Virgen de la Victoria University Clinical Hospital in Málaga has celebrated over 21 years of collaboration with the Málaga Foundation for Assistance to Cancer Patients (FMAEC). In this context, the presentation of the 2027 charity calendar took place, an event that featured the participation of professionals and patients.

Charity Calendar and Its Purpose

The FMAEC 2027 calendar, presented in its fourth edition, highlights the involvement of patients and professionals from the various areas that the foundation serves in the hospital. The FMAEC has dedicated itself to providing psychological support to cancer patients and promoting volunteering in the Oncohematology ward.

This calendar aims to highlight the importance of health from a multidisciplinary perspective, where medical and nursing work is complemented by emotional and social support, as well as promoting healthy habits that facilitate adaptation to the illness.

Details of the Presentation Event

The calendar presentation took place in the hospital's auditorium, with the participation of several key figures, such as the head of Citizen Participation, Ohara Arrebola, the head of the Radiotherapy Oncology Service, José Antonio Medina, and the head nurse, Yolanda Lupiañez. The president of FMAEC, José Aldecoa, was also present.

During the event, Ohara Arrebola expressed her gratitude to the foundation for its commitment to patients and highlighted the importance of collaboration between hospital staff and the foundation. Yolanda Lupiañez, for her part, praised the dedication of the volunteers and their assistance to vulnerable patients and their families.

José Aldecoa, president of FMAEC, emphasized his excitement in presenting this new edition of the calendar, thanking both professionals and patients for their involvement. It was also detailed that the total proceeds from the calendar, which has a symbolic cost of three euros, will be used to strengthen psychological support for patients and families in the hospital.

This new calendar is available in an edition of 1,200 copies and is expected to contribute not only to patient care but also to the visibility of FMAEC's work in the health sector in Málaga.
