The Archconfraternity of Dolores de San Juan has appointed the Malagueño brother Alejandro Morante for the 45th proclamation, which will take place on Sunday, December 6 at 7 PM in the parish of San Juan.

The brother Alejandro Morante Hernández will be responsible for delivering the 45th edition of the Proclamation of the Pure and Clean Conception, as announced by the Archconfraternity of Dolores de San Juan, the organiser of the event. The appointment will be on Sunday, December 6, Spanish Constitution Day, at 7 PM, in the parish of San Juan, the canonical seat of the corporation.

The official appointment will be made effective during the second day of the triduum to the Virgin of Sorrows, next Monday, September 14. The presentation of the proclaimant will be conducted by David Francisco Domínguez Roldán, the current elder brother of the Very Ancient Brotherhood of the Holy Rosary of Our Lady of Remedies, as reported by Diario Sur.

Morante, born in Málaga in 1966, is a well-known promoter of the Andalusian brotherhood reality. Until a few months ago, he presented the programme 'Sentir cofrade' on PTV Málaga, where he led the brotherhood programming from mid-2024 until the beginning of this year, including the broadcasts of Holy Week and the Great Procession of Rome.

His career is linked to the Brotherhood of Humility (Ecce Homo), to which he has belonged since 1982 and where he is a member of the liturgy committee and is responsible for dressing the titular Christ. He was also the elder brother of the Ancient Brotherhood of the Holy Rosary of Our Lady of Remedies from 2005 to 2013, and currently serves as the deputy elder brother.

In the field of communication, his Instagram profile 'El cofrade globalizado', started in 2014, has over 20,000 followers and promotes popular religiosity in Andalusia, Spain, and Latin America.

The proclamation, which began its journey in 1982 with Antonio Garrido Moraga, has featured speakers such as the Sevillian canon Manuel Garrido Orta (1983), José Luis Hurtado de Mendoza (1986), Bishop Antonio Dorado Soto (2004), and Cardinal Carlos Amigo Vallejo, who delivered the 40th edition in 2021.
