The municipality of Alhaurín el Grande is preparing to host a concert by El Barrio, one of the most established artists in the Spanish music scene, on May 15, 2027. The performance is part of the tour "30th anniversary. What you keep makes you return" and will take place at the municipal football field Miguel Fijones.
The Councillor for Festivals, Ana Belén Ordóñez, has highlighted that this is a milestone for the cultural programming of the municipality, as it is the first time an artist of this level performs in Alhaurín el Grande. "We were told it was impossible to bring an artist of this calibre, but we have finally succeeded," she noted.
The concert will serve as a prelude to the May Fair and represents a new model of programming promoted by the Town Hall. According to Ordóñez, hiring major artists for local fairs has become more complex as many only perform concerts with advance ticket sales and do not include performances in fair tents in their tours.
To facilitate access for residents, the Town Hall has announced a 10% discount on the ticket price for all registered residents of Alhaurín el Grande. To benefit from this discount, interested parties must select the resident ticket option during purchase and prove their residency at the venue entrance with their ID or another official document.
Tickets are already available on official platforms: the artist's website (www.cantautorelbarrio.com), Eternidad Eventos (www.eternidadeventos.com), and Enterticket (www.enterticket.es). On the latter, residents can use the promotional code BARRIERO to apply the discount.
The Town Hall has emphasized that the concert is the result of intense work over months and represents a step forward in the cultural offerings of the municipality. "We have managed to incorporate a fully established artist," Ordóñez stated, recalling that in the past, Alhaurín el Grande hosted artists like Alejandro Sanz, Estopa, or Antoñito Molina when they were still starting out.

The tour "What you keep makes you return" celebrates El Barrio's 30 years of career, an artist with a legion of followers throughout Spain.
