The Alhaurín de la Torre Town Hall has awarded Gestión y Ejecución de Obra Civil S.A.U. the contract for the underground dissuasive parking and the redevelopment of Isaac Peral Avenue for €5,915,755.45, VAT included. This action is part of the Integrated Action Plan (PAI) which will exceed €15.5 million with FEDER funds.
The Town Hall of Alhaurín de la Torre has awarded the company Gestión y Ejecución de Obra Civil S.A.U. the construction works for the new underground dissuasive parking on Isaac Peral Avenue and the subsequent transformation and redevelopment of this road. The contract amount is €5,915,755.45, VAT included, after eight companies submitted their bids for the procedure.
The project is one of the main components of the Integrated Action Plan (PAI) of Alhaurín de la Torre, which has €8,961,678 from the FEDER Financial Path, part of the European Union's European Regional Development Fund. Overall, the planned investment for the PAI will exceed €15.5 million, combining European funding with municipal contributions.
The future dissuasive parking will have 133 spaces distributed across two underground levels. Of these, five will be reserved for people with reduced mobility and four will have charging points for electric vehicles. Above the parking, the transformation of Isaac Peral Avenue will take place, with the pedestrianisation of a large part of its route, new resting areas, and the incorporation of vegetation and trees.
The redevelopment will affect an area of 3,668.50 square metres, while the new green areas will include more than 80 new tree specimens. The result will be a space with over 2,700 square metres dedicated to pedestrian transit and rest.
This action is part of an integrated strategy that also includes the rehabilitation of the Municipal Market, the redevelopment of the historic Punto Industrial street, and the transformation of Mayor Antonio Vega González square, located next to the Town Hall and the Youth Centre.
