The Vélez-Málaga Town Hall has received two bids to carry out the improvement of the Condemar urbanisation in Chilches, with a budget of €237,160.62 and a four-month execution period. The Contracting Board meets this Friday, September 18.
The Vélez-Málaga Town Hall has received two bids from companies to carry out the improvement works of the Condemar urbanisation in Chilches. The bidding period ended on September 15 and the Contracting Board will meet on Friday September 18 to continue with the awarding procedure.
The mayor of Vélez-Málaga, Jesús Lupiáñez, has appreciated the progress of the file:
“A new step that brings us closer to the start of much-needed works for the residents of Condemar. A few weeks ago we announced the bidding and today we can say that the procedure is moving forward. We already have two companies that have submitted their proposals and this Friday we will take another step with the Contracting Board. We are getting closer to having the machines arrive in Condemar and starting to transform its streets.”
The budget for the project is €237,160.62, VAT included, and the expected execution period is four months from the signing of the replanning act.
Lupiáñez pointed out that this process is part of the municipal roadmap to take over the maintenance of the urbanisations in the municipality:
“It shows that we are moving from commitments to concrete actions. First, we made the decision to take over these urbanisations, then we have been preparing the projects, and now we are bidding and bringing investments to the ground.”
The project includes a global intervention on the main roads of the urbanisation. It includes the improvement of the road surfaces, the renewal of damaged pavement sections, and the repair of parking areas.
It also includes the repair of manholes and conduits, the improvement of public lighting with new light points in the green area located to the south of the sector, and the renewal of vertical and horizontal signage.
The works will mainly take place on Avenida Brisa del Mar, the main axis of Condemar, as well as on the internal roads and the streets Las Perlas and Bióloga Irene Gámez Martín.
