The esplanade of the Old Railway Station will host the San Miguel Fair on Saturday 26th September, featuring dancing, gastronomy, and live music from 14:00 to 19:00.
The San Miguel Fair returns this Saturday 26th September to the esplanade of the Old Railway Station in Torre de Benagalbón, in Rincón de la Victoria, with a day of dancing, gastronomy, and live music organised by the Department of Fairs and Festivals of the Town Hall and the Neighbourhood Association TORRESOL. The celebration has over 40 years of tradition.
The Councillor for Fairs and Festivals, Paz Couto, explained that the programme has been prepared together with TORRESOL for a day of community: "We have prepared a programme with TORRESOL designed for enjoying a day of community, with dancing, gastronomy, and live music starting from 13:00, leading into a schedule designed for enjoyment throughout the afternoon".
The Mayor, Francisco Salado, highlighted the event's significance among the locals: "Festivals like the San Miguel Fair are part of the identity and traditions of our municipality". Salado also thanked TORRESOL for their involvement, "whose work and commitment are essential for maintaining a celebration with over four decades of history that continues to be part of the festive calendar of Torre de Benagalbón".
The activities kick off at 14:00 with performances by the dance groups of TORRESOL: an Urban Dance showcase with Chely and a Flamenco performance with Ana Celia Pérez.
At 15:00, the tasting of magro with tomato will take place, free for TORRESOL members and with a contribution of 2.50 euros for non-members.
The music continues at 16:00 with Toulalan Session, who will entertain the afternoon at the Old Station. The programme concludes at 19:00 with a performance by Señor Mirinda, featuring pop rock covers from all eras.
The Mayor has encouraged locals and visitors to participate in a day "that combines tradition, gastronomy, dance, and music, and which once again takes place in one of the most emblematic spaces of Torre de Benagalbón, the esplanade of the Old Railway Station".
