The event, organised by the National Police and the City Council, will have up to 1,000 registrations and will allocate the proceeds to Aventura Solidaria. There will be a children's race of 1 km and an adult race of 4.6 km.
Antequera will host the first edition of the Solidarity Race Route 091 Antequera on Saturday, October 31, an initiative by the National Police in collaboration with the Sports Area of the Antequera City Council, with the proceeds going to the association Aventura Solidaria. The event will accept a maximum of 1,000 registrations and will take place in the evening and night of Halloween.
The presentation took place this Friday, September 11, at a press conference with the deputy mayor responsible for Sports, Juan Rosas; the head of the Local Police Station of the National Police Corps, chief inspector Marcos Romarís; the director of the Banco Santander office in Antequera, Nicanor Pérez, as the representative of the main sponsor; and the president of Aventura Solidaria, Juan Trujillo.
The day will kick off at 18:30 with the children's race, which is 1 kilometre long and has a registration fee of 10 euros. At 19:15, the adult race will start, covering a distance of 4.6 kilometres with a fee of 13 euros. A solidarity contribution can also be made without participating. Registrations can be completed on the website ruta091.es and via the QR code on the official poster.
The route will pass through historical sites, starting from the Arch of the Giants and going through the square of San Sebastián, Encarnación Street, Granada Street, and Río Street, as well as the surroundings of the Alcazaba.
Juan Rosas highlighted the event's "sporting, solidarity and also recreational" character and thanked the work of the National Police, the involvement of Banco Santander as the main sponsor, as well as the collaborating companies and Aventura Solidaria.

Chief Inspector Marcos Romarís explained that the proposal combines Antequera's heritage and solidarity. For Romarís, the public service vocation of the National Police "must go much further" than its policing functions, and he presented the race as a way to turn "each stride" into a contribution for individuals and families in need of support.
The organisation has planned Halloween-themed decorations along the route, police demonstrations, a Halloween circuit, a costume contest, and other complementary activities. Minors will be able to participate in the adult race accompanied by their parents according to the conditions set by the organisation.
The director of Banco Santander in Antequera, Nicanor Pérez, expressed the entity's satisfaction in collaborating on an initiative that "combines sport, coexistence, and solidarity."

The president of Aventura Solidaria, Juan Trujillo, thanked the involvement of the National Police, the City Council, sponsors, and collaborators. The proceeds will allow the association to continue addressing cases of need, such as support for therapy for minors and assistance to families in Antequera facing difficult situations.
Registrations are still open at ruta091.es until the 1,000 spots are filled. The event will take place on October 31 in the afternoon, with the children's race starting at 18:30 and the adult race at 19:15.
