Deputy Mayor Ana Cebrián informs about the municipality's presence at IFTM-Top Resa, held from September 15 to 17 in Paris, within the stand of Turismo Costa del Sol. The initiative promotes the Dolmens, El Torcal, and the historic centre to the French market.
Antequera has taken its tourist offer to the international fair IFTM-Top Resa, held in Paris from September 15 to 17. The Deputy Mayor responsible for Tourism, Commerce, and World Heritage, Ana Cebrián, has reported on the municipality's promotional presence at this professional meeting, framed within the participation of Turismo Costa del Sol as part of its Action Plan 2026.
The Málaga entity has set up its own stand of approximately 54 square metres, with counters and work tables to facilitate meetings among attending professionals. In that space, Antequera has presented its cultural, heritage, and nature offer, which includes resources such as the Site of the Dolmens, El Torcal, and the monumental heritage of the historic centre.
During the fair, the Antequera delegation held a meeting with José Antonio Benedicto, the new Tourism Counsellor of Spain in Paris and director of the Spanish Tourism Office in the French capital, an entity integrated into the network of Turespaña and responsible for promoting tourism in Spain in this market.
"The French market represents an area of special interest due to its relevance for the Costa del Sol and the favourable behaviour it has recorded in recent years," according to Ana Cebrián.
Antequera's participation has been developed alongside Turismo Costa del Sol with the aim of reinforcing the projection of Málaga destinations in a market of special relevance. The presence at specialized events like this seeks to broaden the dissemination of the destination among industry professionals and foster new opportunities for international promotion.
