On July 18, the Battery Park in Torremolinos will host the premiere of 'Compositions 2/3', a show that blends theatre and music to pay tribute to figures of the Generation of '27'. Entry is free.

On July 18 at nine in the evening, the Battery Park in Torremolinos will transform into a unique stage for the premiere of 'Compositions 2/3', a show driven by the Málaga Provincial Council that merges theatre and music to offer a poetic and imaginative perspective on some of the most prominent figures of 20th-century Spanish culture.

This free entry proposal invites the audience to cross the threshold of time. Starting from a documented historical reality, the life and work of fundamental artists and thinkers of our culture, the piece elevates into the realm of creation to explore what never happened, but could have occurred.

A Poetic Journey with Lorca, Alberti, and Zambrano

This is a space of poetic fiction where María Zambrano gives voice and melody to the verses of Concha Méndez; Rafael Alberti is carried away by the rhythm of a chotis composed by Josefina de la Torre; and Federico García Lorca appears as an eternal presence in a web of affections, creation, and freedom.

The title of the work refers to the dynamic and active composition of the scenes that make up the show. Through a succession of imagined encounters, the audience will witness the reunion of these illustrious protagonists, whose voices converse with each other from memory, art, and emotion.

A Top-Tier Artistic Team

To bring this proposal to life, 'Compositions 2/3' features a solid artistic team made up of two actors and three actresses with extensive professional backgrounds, capable of assuming the interpretative and emotional complexity required to construct these historical characters.

The musical dimension also occupies a fundamental place in the show. Three active professional musicians, on piano, guitar, and cello, create an original soundtrack that accompanies and enriches the stage action, creating the necessary atmosphere for the work to unleash its evocative power.

The direction is led by Virginia Nölting, who steers the project with enthusiasm, artistic sensitivity, and the experience accumulated throughout her professional journey. Her main objective has been to build a creative process based on harmony, respect, and collaboration among all team members, essential elements to achieve a proposal of high artistic quality.

A Cultural Summer in Torremolinos

With 'Compositions 2/3', the Battery Park becomes a meeting space between memory and imagination, offering the audience a unique scenic experience where theatre and music converse to celebrate the transformative power of art.

For the residents of Torremolinos and visitors, this event represents a unique opportunity to enjoy a top-level cultural evening in a privileged setting, with the sea in the background and the summer breeze. Free entry allows anyone to immerse themselves in this tribute to a generation that marked Spanish literature and thought.

The performance will begin at 21:00 hours and it is recommended to arrive early to secure a spot, given the anticipation that the event has generated. Undoubtedly, a perfect plan for a July night on the Costa del Sol.
