The Mijas Town Hall has expanded its electronic headquarters to exceed 360 procedures available online. The service, active since June 2025, allows residents to carry out tasks such as applying for grants or checking the notice board without having to travel.
The Mijas Town Hall has surpassed 360 procedures available on its electronic headquarters, a service that enables residents to manage their affairs with the local administration electronically. The platform, operational since June 2025, has become the main way for most municipal procedures to interact with the council.
Among the tools offered by the portal, accessible at https://mijas.sedelectronica.es/, are the general interoperable registry, electronic files, resolutions, electronic invoicing, and the notice board consultation. The mandatory identification and authentication ensure that the data provided and received by users is protected.
The councillor for Digital Modernisation, Juan José Torres, has highlighted that nearly all procedures a citizen undertakes with the Local Administration can be completed online, which saves time and steps compared to the in-person route. "The electronic headquarters streamlines the internal processing of matters that are most important to residents," he noted.
An example of this efficiency is the birth grants, which have an application deadline open until 10 September, and the university transport scholarships, with a deadline until 11 September. Both procedures can be fully processed through the electronic headquarters, avoiding travel and waiting times.
The platform also includes information about municipal delegations, a link to the transparency portal, and the validation of official documents. For the residents of Mijas, this means that most everyday tasks, such as applying for a license or checking a file, can be resolved from home with full legal guarantees.
