Real Betis has begun their training camp in Marbella with the absence of Isco, who worked in the gym, while Antony trained with the group.
Real Betis started their pre-season stage in Marbella on Tuesday, where they will remain until next Saturday, August 1. The verdiblanco squad, led by Manuel Pellegrini, held their first training session in the Málaga town, starting with a talk from the Chilean coach.
The main news of the day was the absence of Isco Alarcón on the pitch. The player from Málaga, originally from Arroyo de la Miel (Benalmádena), has returned to working in the gym, following his specific recovery plan. The attacking midfielder continues his individual fitness work, without yet integrating with the group.
However, Antony, the Brazilian winger on loan from Manchester United, trained normally, starting the session alongside his teammates. Nelson Deossa also participated in the collective practice, although the Colombian midfielder is still waiting for his contractual situation to be resolved.
On the other hand, Álvaro Fidalgo, Abde, and Aitor Ruibal have been doing specific work away from the group. Fidalgo, an international with Mexico, cut short his holidays after the World Cup and is expected to fully join the team's dynamics in the coming days. Abde and Ruibal, for their part, continue to progress in their respective recovery processes from injuries.
Betis will face two more friendly matches this week to continue their preparation for the league opener at La Cartuja against Real Sociedad. The first of these will be on Wednesday against Olympique de Lyon at the Ciudad de La Línea stadium. According to reports, nearly all tickets for the match were sold out by early Tuesday.
