The magazine Tapas Magazine has published its sixth edition of the 25 best beach bars in Spain, featuring four establishments from the province of Málaga: three in Marbella and one in Fuengirola.

La Milla, La Plage Casanis and Chambao, in Marbella, and Oasis, in Fuengirola, have been recognised by Tapas Magazine as some of the best beach bars in Spain in its 2026 edition. The selection, now in its sixth year, values gastronomic quality, respect for the product, the dining experience, and the ability to reinterpret Mediterranean culture.

Four Málaga representatives on the national list

La Milla, part of the Puente Romano Marbella hotel, has established itself as a high gastronomy space thanks to its signature cuisine, wine cellar, and service that places it among the top Mediterranean destinations. La Plage Casanis, by Fabián Cangas, stands out for its Mediterranean cuisine, rice dishes, and a famous steak tartare, as well as its carefully curated musical programming. Chambao, with chef Sergio Zubiadut, offers a relaxed luxury experience with excellent cocktails and products. Meanwhile, Oasis, in Fuengirola, is a classic run by the González Salguero family, a pioneer of the modern beach bar in the area, maintaining its essence with espetos and fresh fish.

A map that spans the entire Spanish coastline

The Tapas Magazine list includes establishments from Andalusia, the Balearic Islands, Catalonia, the Valencian Community, Galicia, the Canary Islands, Cantabria, and the Basque Country. In Andalusia, in addition to the Málaga establishments, La Loma, on La Barrosa beach (Chiclana de la Frontera, Cádiz), and Nahú Beach, on Cortadura beach (Cádiz), have also been awarded. The selection recognises both historic restaurants and new beach club concepts that have elevated the beach bar concept without losing its essence.

For the residents of Málaga province, this distinction provides a new reason for pride: the Costa del Sol once again demonstrates that it is a top-level gastronomic destination. The four Málaga beach bars are a must-visit for residents and tourists seeking quality by the sea. The complete list can be consulted on the Tapas Magazine website.
