The Marenostrum Fuengirola venue will host two new outdoor film sessions this Tuesday and Wednesday with free entry. The AECC will manage the bars to give a charitable aspect to the initiative.
The Marenostrum Fuengirola venue will once again become an outdoor cinema this week. This Tuesday, August 11, the animated film 'The Bad Guys 2' will be screened, while on Wednesday, August 12, it will be the turn of 'Wicked', the film adaptation of the popular musical. Both screenings will start at 22:00, although the venue will open its doors from 20:00.
Entry will be free and without charge, and attendees can bring their own towels or beach chairs to settle in the designated area. The Marenostrum stands will also be available, offering a more comfortable alternative for watching the screenings.
The Councillor for Beaches in Fuengirola, José Sánchez, reminded this morning that the Summer Cinema has been held in the town for over a decade and that it gains more acceptance each year. "For several years now, we have held it in the spectacular Marenostrum Fuengirola venue, which allows us to offer a different experience, with various options to enjoy the films comfortably," he explained.
"Whether lying on a towel, sitting in a beach chair, or using the stands," the councillor added.
These two days will have a strong charitable component, as the Spanish Association Against Cancer (AECC) will be in charge of managing the venue's bars. In this way, attendees can collaborate with the organization while enjoying outdoor cinema.
This week's programming offers options for audiences of different ages. 'The Bad Guys 2' is aimed at family audiences, while 'Wicked' comes after the success of the musical. Both films maintain the family-friendly character of this initiative, which is made possible by the agreement between the Fuengirola City Council and the Miramar Shopping Centre.
The first two sessions of the Summer Cinema were held in July, and now the proposal returns to the Marenostrum venue with these two new dates. The City Council encourages residents and visitors to participate in these nights of cinema, leisure, and community by the sea.
The screenings take place in a privileged setting, with the sea as a backdrop, and access will be free until capacity is reached. The opening of doors at 20:00 will allow the public to choose the best spot before the film begins.
