The Malaga singer was taken to hospital twenty minutes before performing at Marenostrum Fuengirola. The concert is rescheduled for July 30.

The Marenostrum Fuengirola auditorium was packed, with thousands of eager fans, when the background music suddenly stopped. An alarming notice appeared on the main screens: Pablo López's concert was suspended. The Malaga singer, about to take the stage, had suffered a physical setback that left him completely unable to sing.

An off-screen voice confirmed the seriousness of the situation through the speakers. The organisers explained that they tried to keep the show going until the last moment, but the artist's condition made it impossible. Minutes later, Pablo López himself was evacuated to a hospital, leaving his fans in a state of worry and disbelief.

A concert that is moved to July 30

To quell the rumours, the promoter Eternidad Eventos issued an official statement: the concert was not cancelled, but rescheduled for July 30, 2026. The tickets purchased remain valid and the original seating arrangement is preserved. The company thanked the public for their civility following the unexpected halt.

From the hospital, once stabilised, the singer wanted to show his face. Visibly affected, he recounted that he had tried to endure the pain due to his excitement about singing in his home province. "I am devastated and heartbroken," he admitted, expressing gratitude for the care from the medical staff. He insisted on apologising, especially to those who had travelled from other locations, acknowledging that it was impossible for him to remain standing.

Local angle: the impact on Fuengirola and the Costa del Sol

For Fuengirola, a concert of this magnitude is a tourist and economic magnet. Marenostrum, with its seaside location, attracts visitors from across the province and beyond. The last-minute suspension left hundreds of people at the door, many of whom had made special trips. The rescheduling to July 30, during the peak season, will allow the city to maintain its summer appeal.

The organisers have confirmed that attendees will receive an email with details of the new date. If the progression of the ailment follows the expected course, the composer will resume his commitments in mid-July in Castellón, before returning to Fuengirola.
