The Málaga singer Pablo López suspended his performance at the Marenostrum venue in Fuengirola due to a serious muscle injury. The new date will be July 30.
The concert that Pablo López was set to perform this Saturday at the Marenostrum venue in Fuengirola was cancelled just twenty minutes before it was due to start. The Málaga singer suffered a serious muscle injury that prevented him from taking the stage, according to the organisation's announcement via the venue's screens.
Attendees, who were already waiting nearby, were informed over the loudspeakers that the artist had been taken to the hospital. The organisation explained that they had tried to keep the concert going until the last moment, but López's health condition made it impossible.
New date for the concert in Fuengirola
The concert has been rescheduled for July 30 at the same venue. Tickets purchased for the original date will remain valid without the need for any further action. For those who cannot attend the new date, a period of 14 working days will be opened to request a refund, as confirmed by the organisation.
Residents of Fuengirola and the Costa del Sol who planned to attend the concert should keep an eye on the official channels to manage their tickets if they cannot wait until July.
Pablo López's message after the cancellation
Minutes after the cancellation, Pablo López posted a video on his social media explaining what had happened. Visibly affected and under the influence of medication, the singer stated he felt "a little desolate and shattered" and noted that it was the first time he had experienced such a situation, "and it had to be in my homeland".
"It is impossible for me, and to not be up to the mark, it's better not to. I fought until the end, but I can't."
López thanked the medical staff for their care and assured that he tried to perform until the last moment. In a humorous tone, he added: "I hope there are no issues seeing you on July 30. I hope to be able to stand up." The artist wanted to apologise to the audience and promised to meet the new date.
For the singer's fans in Málaga and the province, the cancellation has been a bitter disappointment, especially as it was a highly anticipated concert in his hometown. However, the rescheduling offers a second chance to enjoy his music this summer.
Those interested in obtaining a refund for their tickets must request it at the original point of sale before the end of the 14 working days. The organisation recommends checking the official Marenostrum venue website for more details.
