The Parque de España in Fuengirola will host the concert of singer and songwriter María Ruiz this Thursday, August 13. The performance, which will start at 21:00, will have free entry, as reported by the Fuengirola City Council.
The artist, originally from Bolaños de Calatrava (Ciudad Real) and 22 years old, began her musical career at the age of 14. After being part of a group as a vocalist and guitarist, she is now developing her solo career, with a proposal that mixes original songs and covers.
The Councillor for Culture, Rodrigo Romero, presented the event this morning and encouraged locals and visitors to enjoy this outdoor proposal. “María Ruiz is a young artist with a lot of talent and a career that, despite her young age, already has significant recognitions,” he highlighted.
Her curriculum includes having been the opening act for Carlos Baute, winning the Castilla-La Mancha Media contest ‘Esta Navidad canta con Rozalén’ and being a finalist in the Jóvenes Cantautoras Maritrini 2025 contest, organized by the SGAE. In addition, she has released her first work, the album ‘Muy diferente’, featuring songs inspired by real-life experiences.
Live, María Ruiz offers a varied repertoire that combines original songs and covers, with pop as the base but with more intimate themes and others that are fresher and more energetic. The concert is aimed at audiences of all ages.
The event is part of Fuengirola's summer cultural program. Access will be free until capacity is reached at the Parque de España, in the heart of the city.
