The Pedro Cuevas square will host a new day of the Provincial 3x3 Basketball Circuit on Sunday, September 6, as part of 'Fuengirola en Forma'. Registrations are now open on the website of the Andalusian Basketball Federation.

Fuengirola will once again be the venue for the Provincial 3x3 Basketball Circuit of the Málaga Provincial Council next Sunday, September 6. The event will kick off at 18:00 in the Pedro Cuevas square, as part of the municipal programme 'Fuengirola en Forma'.

The Councillor for Sports, Julio Rodríguez, presented the event this Thursday, which will bring together hundreds of players from various municipalities in the province. Registrations are already open through the website of the Andalusian Basketball Federation.

“This is one of the sporting activities we will celebrate in September as part of 'Fuengirola en Forma'. We want to announce it in advance so that all interested parties can register and prepare for their participation,” the councillor stated.

Rodríguez reminded that Fuengirola is hosting this circuit for the fourth consecutive year, establishing itself as one of the regular venues for a competition that travels through around twenty municipalities in Málaga and gathers nearly 250 participants in the city each season.

The Fuengirola event will be the third to last in the provincial calendar, making it crucial for teams aiming to qualify for the grand final, scheduled for next October in the Marina square of Málaga.

The municipal sports official also highlighted the growth of this modality in the city, driven by the support of the City Council for the Marenostrum Fuengirola 3x3 team, which competes internationally, as well as the creation of new specific facilities, such as the 3x3 court in La Loma park and the future court to be set up at Valdelecrín school.

Finally, Rodríguez thanked the collaboration of the Salliver Basketball Club, whose participation is essential in organising the event, especially in volunteer work, refereeing, and logistics. The councillor encouraged all fans to register and enjoy a day where sport and community will once again take centre stage.
