La Mari and her band, Chambao, will bring the eleventh season of Marenostrum Fuengirola to a close on September 6, as part of their 25th anniversary tour.

The Chambao concert at Marenostrum Fuengirola will take place on Sunday, September 6 at the Fundación Unicaja stage of Castillo Sohail. This event, which wraps up the lineup of national artists for the eleventh season of the cycle, promises to be an emotional and surprise-filled occasion.

A quarter of a century on stage

María del Mar Rodríguez Carnero, La Mari, celebrates 25 years of her career with a special tour in which she has re-recorded all her hits alongside luxury collaborators. The album, titled '25 aniversario', features the best of her repertoire, from her beginnings to the present day.

Chambao is one of the most personal and recognisable musical projects in the Spanish scene. La Mari has achieved 11 platinum records in Spain, as well as Ondas awards, the Medal of Andalucía, and nominations for the Latin Grammy and Goya Awards.

After a break, the band returned in 2023 with 'En la cresta del ahora' and a tour that took them across Spain, Latin America, and Europe. In 2024 and 2025, they released singles such as 'Mañana', 'Fresca', or 'La Piel', in collaboration with SFDK, reconnecting them with their deepest roots.

A very special concert in Fuengirola

The performance in Fuengirola holds special significance for La Mari, who has a close connection with the Castillo Sohail venue. The concert will be the crowning moment of the most important edition to date of Marenostrum Fuengirola, which this year has brought together major names in national and international music.

For attendees, this event represents a unique opportunity to enjoy a repertoire that reviews 25 years of hits, with new versions and collaborations that will only be heard live. Tickets are already on sale through the festival's official website.

The Marenostrum Fuengirola festival has established itself as one of the most important concert cycles on the Costa del Sol. Every summer, Castillo Sohail becomes a privileged stage with sea views, attracting thousands of spectators.

An indelible musical legacy

Chambao emerged in the early 2000s, fusing flamenco with electronic music, creating a unique style that has influenced an entire generation. Songs like 'Ahí estás tú', 'Pokito a poko', or 'Lo mejor del mundo' are now part of the history of Spanish music.

La Mari has managed to reinvent herself without losing her essence: honesty, emotion, and freedom. Her music has accompanied many from Málaga during key moments, and now, in Fuengirola, they will celebrate this quarter-century together. The concert promises to be a turning point in her career, featuring a show that will combine her greatest hits with new songs.

For those unable to attend, the tour will continue to other cities in Spain, but the event in Fuengirola has an almost intimate character, in a unique setting. The residents of the Costa del Sol have the chance to see an artist who has made a significant impact on the music of this country.

The event is on Sunday, September 6 at 21:00 at Castillo Sohail. Tickets can be purchased from 35 euros on the festival's website. Don't miss it: it will be a magical night under the stars of Fuengirola.
