La Mari performs on September 6 at Castillo Sohail to conclude the eleventh season of the venue. The concert will feature her greatest hits and special collaborations.

The group Chambao will bring the 2026 edition of Marenostrum Fuengirola to a close this Sunday, September 6. The concert, taking place at the Fundación Unicaja stage at Castillo Sohail, is part of the '25th anniversary' tour with which La Mari celebrates a quarter of a century in her music career.

The Málaga artist will present a show that revisits the band’s greatest hits, with surprises and collaborations planned for a night that the Councillor for Culture and Major Events, Rodrigo Romero, describes as the finale of a programme that has brought together some of the most important names in Spanish music this year.

“This year we have been fortunate to have the best Spanish artists at Marenostrum Fuengirola. We started with El Último de la Fila opening their tour here; then came Fito, Dani Martín, Dani Fernández, La Oreja de Van Gogh, Lola Índigo, and the closing tour of Alejandro Sanz, among other great names. And the final touch to this impressive list of artists will be provided by a legend of Spanish music like La Mari from Chambao,” Romero noted.

María del Mar Rodríguez Carnero, known as La Mari, is the composer and vocalist of Chambao, a project that has accumulated 11 platinum records in Spain, Ondas awards, and the Medal of Andalucía, as well as nominations for the Latin Grammy and Goya awards. After a few years of hiatus, the group returned in 2023 with the album 'En la cresta del ahora' and has continued to release songs like 'Mañana', 'Fresca', and 'La Piel', the latter in collaboration with SFDK.

In 2026, La Mari has revisited her greatest songs with top-level collaborations in a new album that she is now presenting live. The audience at Marenostrum Fuengirola will be able to hear both the classics of Chambao and the new tracks in a show designed for the occasion.
