Nerja will celebrate its Fair from October 8 to 12 in honour of the Virgen de las Angustias and San Miguel Arcángel, with free concerts in the Plaza de España and reduced prices on attractions.
The Nerja Fair 2026 will take place from October 8 to 12 in honour of the Virgen de las Angustias and San Miguel Arcángel. The deputy mayor, Ángela Díaz, and the councillor for the Major Festival, Elena Gálvez, presented the poster and the programme, which includes activities in the fairground and in the town centre.
The festivities will kick off on Thursday October 8 at 20:00 with a concert by the Music Band and the opening speech by Cynthia Martín Cortés, in front of the Town Hall. At 22:30, the Plaza de España will host the Grand Gala of the Queen of the Nerja Fair 2026, with free entry.
The free concerts in the Plaza de España will be one of the main attractions: on October 9, Mago de Oz will perform; on October 10, Chambao; on October 11, El Arrebato; and on October 12, Samueliyo Baby, Samuel G., and José de las Heras. On the same day, the little ones will be able to enjoy the Musical Tribute to Beauty and the Beast.
The solemn procession of the Patron Saints will take place on October 10. The councillor for the Major Festival highlighted the commitment of the Town Hall to a more accessible and inclusive Fair.
“A musical blackout will take place daily in the fairground from 19:00 to 21:00 to facilitate enjoyment of the attractions for people with functional, auditory, and sensory diversity,” noted Elena Gálvez.
The attractions will have reduced prices throughout the Fair: from October 8 to 11, they will cost €3.50, while on October 12, Children's Day, the price will be €2.
The town centre and the Balcón de Europa will host the Day Fair, children's activities, and performances by local groups, expanding the programme to various spaces in the municipality.
Ángela Díaz invited the people of Nerja, Mareños, and visitors to enjoy these days of celebration and coexistence, and reminded that the Nerja Fair is a meeting point for all citizens and an opportunity to share the traditions of the municipality.
