The PSOE headquarters in Estepona has been defaced with graffiti reading "traitors". The party has reported the incident to the National Police.
The PSOE of Estepona, located on Avenida de San Lorenzo, has appeared with graffiti featuring the word "traitors" on its door, according to Diario Sur. The attack occurred a day after demonstrations in support of Ceuta, which gathered around 4,000 people in this locality, according to the Town Hall.
In light of these events, the party has filed a complaint with the National Police. The general secretary of the Málaga socialists, Josele Aguilar, stated that "no political disagreement can justify such behaviour" and called on the PP of Málaga to condemn the attack.
The PSOE of Estepona has "strongly" condemned what happened and reminded in a Facebook message that "this is not the first time our group has suffered such attacks," including graffiti, spitting, or eggs. "What has happened now represents a further step, an escalation that we cannot normalise," they noted, expressing hope that the area's security cameras will help identify those responsible.
The socialists clarified that party members attended the demonstration for Ceuta, although they decided not to share images to avoid politicising a sensitive situation. "Demonstrating, expressing an opinion, or politically disagreeing can never justify vandalism," they insisted.
The previous attack on this headquarters was recorded on 30 May 2024, when three young people threw eggs at the premises. At that time, the general secretary of the party, Enma Molina, condemned the action.
