The Spanish Association Against Cancer in Benalmádena presented its Summer Charity Dinner this Friday, which will take place on September 11 at the Holiday World Resort Beach Club. Tickets, priced at €100, are already on sale.

The Spanish Association Against Cancer in Benalmádena has presented its Summer Charity Dinner 2026 this Friday, a charitable event that will be held on Friday, September 11 at 8:30 PM at the Holiday World Resort Beach Club. The presentation was attended by the councillor for Citizen Participation, María Luisa Robles Salas; the president of the association in the municipality, Alfredo Herrera; and the hotel director, Jorge Sáez Cordo.

The evening, which expects to gather over 200 people including attendees, business owners, and institutional representatives, will include a welcome cocktail, an outdoor dinner, and live performances by singer Yamilet Ávalos and saxophonist Rafa Saxo. During the gala, the Constancy Award 2026 will be presented, recognising the ongoing support of an individual or entity to the association, although the name of the awardee will not be revealed until the event.

Councillor Robles highlighted “the enormous work carried out throughout the year by the Spanish Association Against Cancer in our municipality, accompanying and helping patients and families in particularly difficult times.” “Benalmádena once again demonstrates with this dinner that it is a caring and committed city,” she added.

“Our main objective is cancer patients and their families. To be able to offer all our services for free, it is essential to continue raising funds through events like this,” stated Alfredo Herrera.

Tickets are priced at €100 per diner and can be purchased online on the association's official platform or in person at the Benalmádena headquarters (phone 951 539 410). The registration period will remain open until September 9 at 8:00 PM.

The association, which provides free support to cancer patients and their families, allocates the funds raised to maintain its services and promote cancer research. Nationally, the entity has over 30,000 volunteers and 500,000 members, and in 2023 alone, it assisted more than 140,000 people affected by the disease.
