Estepona's Municipal Sports Schools for the 2026/27 course have set a record with 3,105 pre-registrations. The draw for the order of registration will take place on September 1.
The Estepona Town Hall has closed the pre-registration period for the Municipal Sports Schools for the 2026/27 course with a total of 3,105 people signed up. This figure represents the highest demand recorded to date for these activities, which will take place from September 28, 2026, to June 15, 2027, both in the urban centre and in Cancelada.
The Sports Councillor, Luis Miguel Gil, explained that the next Tuesday, September 1, the draw will be held to determine the order of final registration. The chosen numbers will indicate the preference when formalising enrolment, which can be done from September 3 to 13 through the website www.reservapista.estepona.es, where online payment will also be enabled.
The offer includes 24 sports activities, of which 16 are directly managed by the municipality: Physical Activity for Seniors, Chess, Athletics, Handball, Adapted Sports, Stretching, Football, GAP, Multidisciplinary Training, Rhythmic Gymnastics, Judo, Karate, Multisport, Pilates, Psychomotricity, and Step/Fitness.
Activities with External Management
The remaining eight are managed indirectly, by the 24 Horas Deportivas Foundation and other local clubs: Badminton, Basketball, Climbing, Fencing, Golf, Padel, Tennis, and Volleyball. In these cases, the deadlines and methods of registration may vary from those of the municipal schools.

The high number of applications reflects the interest of local residents in these activities, which have established themselves as one of the most sought-after sports offerings on the Costa del Sol.
