Benalmádena City Council has put out to tender the waterproofing of the CEIP La Paloma roof for €79,999. The works will have a 90-day execution period.

Benalmádena City Council has initiated the tendering process for the waterproofing works of the CEIP La Paloma roof, with a base budget of €79,999, VAT included. The expected execution period is 90 calendar days.

The councillor for Buildings, José Luis Bergillos, explained that this action is part of the municipal plan to "progressively improve the facilities of our educational centres and address those needs that directly affect their conservation and maintenance."

The work will consist of an intervention on the building's roof to resolve waterproofing issues, and will include the necessary masonry work to ensure an adequate and durable solution. Bergillos noted that this is "a necessary action that will provide a comprehensive solution to the waterproofing problems and improve the conservation conditions of the school."

The councillor stressed that the aim is for "students, teachers, and the entire educational community to have facilities in the best possible condition." Interested companies can submit their bids until August 20, through a simplified open procedure.

In the awarding process, the economic offer will be primarily valued, with a maximum of 90 points, in addition to improvements in the guarantee. Bergillos emphasized that the City Council continues to "advance in specific actions in the municipality's schools, planning investments that allow us to resolve deficiencies and improve facilities that are used daily by hundreds of families in Benalmádena."

This action adds to other improvements that the council has been undertaking in the municipality's educational centres in recent years, in order to maintain in good condition the infrastructures that serve the school community.

Once awarded, the works are expected to begin after the summer, and during the time the work lasts, efforts will be made to minimize disruption to the educational community, although the execution period is designed so that the tasks can be completed without interfering with the normal development of the school year.
