The Benalmádena City Council has awarded the leasing with maintenance of four hybrid 4x4 SUVs for the Local Police for €425,218.20. Three will be marked and equipped, and the fourth, unmarked, with a delivery period of 120 calendar days.
The Local Police of Benalmádena will have four new hybrid 4x4 SUVs after the City Council has awarded their incorporation for a total amount of €425,218.20, VAT included. The contract is formalised as a leasing agreement with comprehensive maintenance and an option to purchase.
Of the total, three units will be marked police vehicles fully equipped for service, while the fourth will be unmarked. The expected delivery period is 120 calendar days from the formalisation of the contract.
The vehicles will be 220 HP hybrid 4x4 Toyota RAV4s and will meet the technical and equipment specifications set for police service. The three marked units will be equipped with emergency lighting and signalling, digital communication systems, a detainee transport kit, cameras and software, as well as specific auxiliary equipment for the agents' work.
The fourth unit, unmarked, will also be adapted to the needs of the force and will include digital communication systems, cameras and software, as well as the equipment required for its functions.
The Mayor of Benalmádena, Juan Antonio Lara, has stated that this addition represents a further step in the commitment to provide the Local Police with better resources.
“This addition represents a new step in our commitment to equip the Local Police with the best possible resources so that they can carry out their work with greater guarantees, safety and efficiency in service to our residents.”
The mayor added that safety is a priority for the government team and that this involves investing in professionals by renewing their work tools with vehicles adapted to the real needs of the service.
The contract includes comprehensive maintenance of the vehicles, repairs, all-risk insurance, tyres and a replacement vehicle, among other services, to ensure their availability and proper functioning during the leasing period.
Regarding the fleet, Lara emphasised the municipal commitment to move towards more efficient means.
“We continue to modernise municipal services by combining efficiency, safety and sustainability. The incorporation of hybrid vehicles allows us to improve the resources of our Local Police while also advancing in emission reduction.”
The delivery of the four vehicles will occur within a maximum period of 120 calendar days from the formalisation of the contract, which has already been awarded.
