Educational centres in Málaga have until 18 September to request any of the 149 free activities and workshops that the City Council offers for the 2026-2027 school year. Applications are processed on the Education Area website (www.educacion.malaga.eu), as reported by Diario Sur.
The offer is divided into three blocks: the Education Area provides 96 activities within six programmes, other municipal areas contribute 35, and collaborating entities add 18. The proposal is open to all stages of non-university education and also to students from permanent education centres.
The focus of this course is prevention, within the project 'Educate to Prevent. Prevent to Educate' that Málaga coordinates in the State Network of Educating Cities (RECE). Among the new features are workshops on inclusive communication and actions focused on adolescence, such as 'Neuroscience and Adolescence: What is happening to me?', which explains hormonal changes and sleep habits from a scientific basis.
The coexistence programme includes 'Creating Team' for conflict mediation, along with workshops on emotional intelligence, stress management, bullying, and healthy eating. The Local Police continues its talks on internet risks, drugs, juvenile criminal responsibility, drinking and driving, and gender violence among young people.
In the cultural section, the School Theatre Showcase celebrates its 39th edition and the festival 'With Music to Another Place' reaches its 25th. Guided tours are added to the Flamenco Art Museum Peña Juan Breva and the MEET, as well as storytelling for children and first cycle primary students by the Comprehensive Centre for Deaf People of Málaga.
Entities such as EMT, IMFE, Promálaga, Emasa, ONCE, Bancosol, 42 Málaga Fundación Telefónica, and the Carmen Thyssen Museum collaborate in the workshops, among others. Eight municipal areas also participate, from Culture and Sports to Security and Innovation.
