In Valencia, the Civil Guard has arrested five people, three men and two women, involved in an organisation dedicated to drug trafficking at both national and international levels. This operation has led to the seizure of over 172 kilograms of narcotic substances that were to be distributed both in Spain and in 45 countries around the world.

Operation and detection of the organisation

The investigation began after the seizure of 100 grams of MDMA in Ghana, which was linked to shipments originating from Valencia. This led agents to uncover an organised infrastructure that included a laboratory in the regions of Costera and Canal de Navarrés.

The organisation used encrypted messaging platforms to receive orders for various substances. Once the orders were confirmed, they prepared the drugs and sent them via postal parcel services.

Seizure and arrests

A total of 172.5 kilos of different substances have been seized, broken down as follows:

116.5 kilos of ketamine
18.4 kilos of methamphetamine
6.9 kilos of cocaine
8.8 kilos of hashish
1 kilo of heroin
20,000 doses of LSD
20.85 kilos of other substances
25 kilos of cutting agent
41 kilos of chemical components

The five detainees, of Spanish nationality and aged between 18 and 44 years, were arrested on September 9 in Valencia. Four of them have been imprisoned, while one has been released on bail.

The Civil Guard has collaborated with other international forces and with Correos to halt the shipments. The proceedings are now under the supervision of the Xátiva Court, number 2.
