The EMVIPSA teams have carried out 649 maintenance actions in the educational centres of Vélez-Málaga between June 15 and August 28, with the aim of preparing the facilities for the new term.
The first deputy mayor and delegated councillor of EMVIPSA, Jesús Pérez Atencia, reported this Tuesday on the work carried out during the summer by the municipal company's teams in the schools of Vélez-Málaga. Between June 15 and August 28, a total of 649 actions of maintenance, repair, and conservation have been executed.
Of the total, 308 correspond to maintenance work, 127 to plumbing, 103 to construction, and 111 to painting. Notable tasks include leak repairs, replacement of pipes and faucets, fixing blinds, windows, doors, and closures, as well as treating dampness and painting classrooms and common areas.
Atencia pointed out that "every summer we take advantage of the absence of teaching activities to make a significant effort in our schools. These are works that often go unnoticed, but are essential so that when students, teachers, and families return to the classrooms, they find the centres ready."
Additionally, 296 notifications have been managed and closed through the GECOR system, reported by the educational centres themselves, and the specific window cleaning service has continued. The new roof of CEIP Blas Infante de Torre del Mar has also been completed, a project highly requested by the educational community.
The councillor publicly thanked the work of the municipal company's workers and emphasized that the goal is for "our boys and girls to start the new term in safe, well-maintained schools and in the best possible conditions."
