Juan Carlos Zalazar, a seller from ONCE since 2022, has distributed 1,235,000 euros in 22 winning coupons during his usual route in Torre del Mar, in the municipality of Vélez-Málaga.
The ONCE Daily Draw last Thursday left 1,235,000 euros in Torre del Mar, a coastal area of Vélez-Málaga. The person responsible for distributing the prizes was Juan Carlos Zalazar, a seller for the organization since 2022, as reported by Diario Sur.
Zalazar does not have a fixed point of sale: the 22 winning coupons were distributed along the route he takes daily through the streets of Torre del Mar, among regular customers. The winning number was 35972. Series 044 won the top prize of 500,000 euros and the other 21 tickets with the same five digits received 35,000 euros each.
The seller, born in Bolivia and residing in Spain for two decades, previously worked in markets. The day of the draw coincided with his fifteenth wedding anniversary with his wife, who is from Torre del Mar, so the prize has helped to "extend the celebrations," in his own words.

Zalazar explained this Friday, while returning to his route, that some of the winners were doubtful when checking the number: "Some didn't believe it because yesterday also ended in two, but luck has smiled upon us."
The Daily Coupon distributes 500,000 euros for the five digits and the series, as well as 49 prizes of 35,000 euros for tickets that match the five digits. The draw takes place from Monday to Thursday and includes smaller amounts for combinations of four, three, two, and one digit. This Thursday's coupon was commemorative: the five million tickets issued were dedicated to the Sustainable Development Goals and sports, under the slogan 'Sport for sustainable development', an initiative presented days earlier at the Higher Sports Council.
The prize comes less than two weeks after another joy from ONCE in the region. On September 13, a ticket sold by Francisco Lucía in La Carraca, in Torrox Costa, won a Sueldazo of 2,000 euros monthly for ten years, equivalent to 240,000 euros.
ONCE has more than 21,400 sellers in Spain, according to data published this Friday by the organization. The draws are one of their main sources of funding for programs and services aimed at blind people or those with severe visual impairments. Zalazar returned this Friday to walk the same streets of Torre del Mar with his coupons.
