Rincón de la Victoria trains 150 volunteers to manage feline colonies

The Rincón de la Victoria Town Hall celebrates the sixth edition of the Course for feeders and trappers of feline colonies on September 30. The training, from 17:15 to 19:15 in the Plenary Hall, has already prepared nearly 150 volunteers.

The Rincón de la Victoria Town Hall has called for the next 30th of September the sixth edition of the Course for feeders and trappers of feline colonies, a training aimed at the volunteers responsible for the care and control of these animals in the municipality. The session will be held in the Plenary Hall of the town hall, from 17:15 to 19:15.

The councillor for Health and Consumption, Lola Ramos, has stated that since the launch of this initiative, nearly 150 volunteers have been trained. The course provides them with knowledge and guidelines to carry out their work responsibly, with particular attention to feeding, handling the animals, and capture actions.

The mayor, Francisco Salado, has affirmed that training for volunteers is a fundamental tool for advancing towards an orderly and responsible management of the feline colonies in the municipality, and has valued the collaboration of the neighbours who actively participate in the care of these animals.

The course programme includes feeding community cats, guidelines for feeders, handling and capturing the animals, and managing the colonies, as well as the latest directives and recommendations applicable in this area.
