The Junta de Andalucía has announced that citizens of Málaga will be able to apply for aid for energy efficiency and the incorporation of renewable energies in their homes starting from October 22. This call for applications is endowed with 20.77 million euros co-financed by the European FEDER fund.
Requirements and incentive percentages
The aid is aimed at a wide range of beneficiaries including citizens, municipalities, renewable energy communities, homeowner associations, self-employed individuals, and companies. These funds are intended to improve the energy efficiency of homes, residential buildings, and non-residential public buildings.
The incentives range from 25% to 80%, depending on the type of action and the beneficiary. For homes, the programme aims to improve aspects such as thermal insulation, climate control, and lighting. The actions must result in at least one improvement in the energy rating of the building.
Deadlines and conditions for application
From October 22, interested parties will be able to submit applications electronically until September 30, 2027, or until the funds are exhausted. To apply, it is necessary for citizens and public entities that do not engage in economic activity to have initiated the action after May 1, 2025.
Additionally, aid for the acquisition of solar energy equipment is also available, with incentives that can vary between 35% and 55%. Specific conditions may increase the value of the aid if certain requirements are met, such as the inclusion of renewable energies in the interventions.
The managing agency has determined that beneficiaries of aid exceeding 15,000 euros may request an advance payment or a partial payment, provided that the established requirements are met.
