The bullring of Torremolinos will transform into a large Mediterranean piazza on August 27 and 28 with the Little Italy Gastro Fest, a festival that combines Italian cuisine, live music, and shows. The event is part of the Plaza Paraíso programme.
The bullring of Torremolinos is preparing to experience two nights of authentic dolce vita. On August 27 and 28, the bullring will become an Italian piazza with the Little Italy Gastro Fest, a festival that brings together the best of Transalpine cuisine with music and performances. The initiative, organised by GastronÓmico and Locamente, lands for the first time on the Costa del Sol as part of the leisure programme Plaza Paraíso, which runs from July 25 to September 13.
Four corners to savour Italy
The festival offers a culinary journey divided into four thematic blocks. At La Barra de la Nonna, attendees can taste fresh pasta, traditional panini, and platters of Italian cheeses and cold cuts. Pizza lovers will find their place at La Pizza, featuring freshly made pizza al taglio, served by the slice. For dessert, Dolce Italia offers tiramisu, cannoli, and artisanal gelato. And to accompany, El Aperitivo de Hugo proposes Aperol Spritz, vermouth, and other classic Italian cocktails.
The culinary offerings are not the only highlight. The programme includes live music and DJ sets, as well as shows with themed characters and surprise moments. All this in an atmosphere designed for conversation and leisurely enjoyment, as Italian tradition dictates.
A trip to Italy up for grabs
The organisers wanted to add an extra incentive. Each ticket purchased automatically enters the holder into a draw for a trip to Italy for two people. Tickets are already available on the platforms Forvenues and Zibarit. The organisers assure that the Little Italy Gastro Fest was created with the intention of bringing quality leisure inspired by one of the Mediterranean's most iconic culinary cultures to the Costa del Sol.
For the residents of Torremolinos and tourists, it is an opportunity to enjoy a different experience without leaving the town. The event adds to the municipality's summer offerings, which aim to attract an audience that loves good food and cultural leisure. If the weather permits, the bullring will become an improvised corner of Italy under the Andalusian sky. Who knows, you might even hear a “mamma mia” amidst the clinking of Aperol toasts.
