The Leonardo Hotels chain inaugurates the Leonardo Hotel Torremolinos Costa del Sol, with 398 rooms, reaching a total of 580 on the Costa del Sol alongside the one in Fuengirola.
Leonardo Hotels has launched a new establishment in Torremolinos, the Leonardo Hotel Torremolinos Costa del Sol, which adds 398 rooms to its offering in the province. With this opening, the chain surpasses 580 rooms on the Costa del Sol, combining its presence in Torremolinos and Fuengirola.
The hotel is located in the town centre, just a few minutes from the beach, and presents itself as an option for those seeking an urban and leisure environment. The company thus strengthens its commitment to the Málaga coastline, one of the most popular tourist destinations in southern Europe.
Two hotels, two concepts
The Leonardo Hotel Torremolinos Costa del Sol is joined by the Leonardo Hotel Fuengirola Costa del Sol, which has 184 rooms and has just celebrated three years of activity next to the city’s marina. While the Torremolinos hotel focuses on bustling nightlife, the Fuengirola hotel offers a combination of beach, gastronomy, and promenade.
Both establishments allow the chain to offer two differentiated proposals for tourists visiting the Costa del Sol. The opening in Torremolinos responds to Leonardo Hotels' growth strategy in the holiday segment in Spain, where it already has seven hotels in the Balearics, spread across Mallorca and Ibiza.
The general director of Leonardo Hotels, Shay Raz, has described the opening as “a very important step” for the company in Spain. According to Raz, the Costa del Sol is a destination with growing demand, and the new opening allows the chain to expand its presence in a key market.
A chain in expansion
Leonardo Hotels currently operates more than 315 hotels in 21 countries and 137 destinations, with a portfolio exceeding 56,000 rooms. The company maintains a strategy based on geographical diversification and adapting its offering to new tourism trends.
For the residents of Torremolinos, the opening of the new hotel represents an economic and tourist boost, creating both direct and indirect employment. Additionally, it strengthens the accommodation offer of the municipality, which competes with other Costa del Sol destinations such as Marbella or Estepona.
The chain has not ruled out new openings in the area, although for now it will focus on consolidating the two establishments in the province. The Leonardo Hotel Torremolinos Costa del Sol is already operational and accepting bookings for the summer season, which starts with good prospects.
