The Mijas Town Hall has launched training for the teachers of the Popular University in preparation for the new course, which will start on September 15 with over 3,000 students.
The Mijas Town Hall has begun this week the training of the teachers of the Popular University (UP) in anticipation of the start of the school year, scheduled for September 15. During the first half of the month, around thirty teachers will participate in courses on planning and managing internal tools, social media, and artificial intelligence.
The UP councillor, Silvia Marín, explained that this training is being conducted for the first time. "Over the coming days, they will learn how municipal internal applications work, as well as how to manage social media and tools related to artificial intelligence," she detailed.
Additionally, the teachers will receive specific training to improve attention to diversity and students with special needs, in collaboration with the Social Inclusion department. A session on identity and gender expression is also included.
During these days, the teaching staff will work on organizing the departments and preparing activities such as the Cultural Week and the end of term. Marín noted that a delegate will be appointed for each discipline to coordinate periodic meetings.
Starting from September 15, more than 3,000 students are expected to join the 31 workshops distributed across different areas of the municipality. Available places can be requested until September 10.
