The National Police are investigating a shooting that occurred early this morning on Genoveses Street in Monte Pavero, in the Bailén-Miraflores district of Málaga. Officers found bullet impacts on a vehicle, with no injuries reported.

The National Police have launched an investigation to clarify a new shooting that took place in the Málaga capital, in the Monte Pavero area, part of the Bailén-Miraflores district. According to Diario Sur, the events occurred around four in the morning on Monday, August 31, when the emergency services 112 Andalucía received a call about a fight on Genoveses Street where shouts and gunshots were heard.

National Police officers arrived at the scene but found no one affected. However, they located bullet impacts on a parked vehicle on the street. Fortunately, there are no reported injuries.

According to sources close to the case, the alleged shooter fled the scene by car. The Provincial Police Station of Málaga has confirmed the opening of an investigation to try to resolve what happened.

This incident occurs just a week after another shooting in Marbella, where a 33-year-old man of Senegalese origin was found dead with two bullet impacts in the abdomen. That incident took place around 2:15 AM on August 24 on Pintor Pacheco Street, and the Specialised and Violent Crime Unit (UDEV) of the Marbella Police Station took over the investigation, with no arrests reported so far.
