The parking area of the boulevard in La Cala will host the third edition of the 'Birras & Art' festival from August 20 to 23, featuring craft beer, cuisine, and live music.
The third edition of the 'Birras & Art' festival will take place in La Cala de Mijas from August 20 to 23. The event, which will be held in the parking area of the boulevard, will bring together small craft beer producers alongside premium options, as announced this Monday by the Councillor for Public Roads, Melisa Ceballos.
The event was created to showcase small beer producers and has evolved over time to also include premium beers. The offering will be complemented by a varied gastronomic proposal: there will be stalls serving German sausages, grills, and Mexican and Latin food.
José Miguel Macías, promoter of the festival, specified that “there will also be local bands playing to complete the event.” Live music will be one of the attractions of the days, which will take place over the weekend at a time yet to be confirmed.
The councillor has invited locals and visitors to enjoy the event and discover beers “that are practically unknown to the general public.” Entry will be free, making the proposal accessible for those who come to the coastal area of Mijas.
The event, now in its third edition, has established itself as a summer reference in the area. Attendees will be able to move between the different stands and taste local products in a festive atmosphere. The organization recommends arriving early to park, given the limited space of the venue.
