Mayor Ángeles Muñoz presents an operation with over 500 personnel, 30 cameras, and five drones for the fair during the day and night. The operation includes two coordination centres connected to the Local Police Headquarters.
Marbella will have more than 500 personnel and a technological deployment to ensure safety during the San Bernabé Fair. The mayor, Ángeles Muñoz, presented this Tuesday the operation, which brings together agents from the Local Police, Civil Protection, Firefighters, National Police, Guardia Civil, and health personnel.
The operation is structured through a security plan and two operational coordination centres, one for the day fair and another for the night fair, both permanently connected to the Local Police Headquarters. Muñoz emphasised the coordination among the bodies: "We want people to have fun and enjoy themselves, but also to be protected and safe in an environment that meets all guarantees."
In terms of technology, the operation incorporates more than thirty surveillance cameras at strategic points, five drones for aerial supervision at different times and areas of the fairgrounds, and body cameras for the agents. The mayor explained that the operation "has all the necessary resources, both in terms of means and coordination, as well as excellent professionals."
The city expects a large influx of the public, especially on the Avenida del Mar, the main stage of the day fair, and at the fairgrounds of Arroyo Primero, where the night fair will take place. The mayor was accompanied by the councillors for Citizen Security, José Eduardo Díaz, and for Festivals, Yolanda Marín.
