The City Council of Fuengirola presents its cultural agenda for September with exhibitions, cinema, conferences and shows. Most activities will be free.
The City Council of Fuengirola, through the Council of Culture, has presented the cultural programme for September, an agenda that brings together proposals for all ages with a wide range of free offerings. The Councillor for Culture, Rodrigo Romero, revealed the details at a press conference.
Romero highlighted that culture should be accessible to everyone and that is why a significant part of the activities will be free of charge. The programme kicks off with two exhibitions: ‘Bioparc Fuengirola, 25 years creating the best zoo in the world together’, which will be at the Paseo Marítimo de Los Boliches until 18 October, and ‘Images of Fuengirola. The 60s’, featuring photos by Luis Ramírez Benéytez, which opens on 4 September at the Casa de la Cultura ‘Manuel Delgado Perea’.
Music will arrive with Chambao on 6 September at Marenostrum Fuengirola, as part of its 25th anniversary, and with Apulanta on 12 September at the Sohail Castle. Cinema will have two screenings: ‘Soul of the Ocean’ on 15 September and ‘Ocean with David Attenborough’ on 22 September, both in original version with subtitles and free entry.
Scientific dissemination includes conferences on NASA's return to the Moon and manned space flights, on 16 and 17 September at the Casa de la Cultura. On 19 September, the Palacio de la Paz will host the charity show ‘Dancing to Remember’, with a donation of 8 euros in favour of AFA Fuengirola-Mijas.
From 21 September to 6 November, the City Museum will exhibit the ‘Tente Construction Game Exhibition’, in collaboration with the Tenteland Association. The month concludes with the I Novel Challenge Bodybuilding Championship on 26 September at the Palacio de la Paz, with free entry.
