The Fuengirola City Council has presented a programme featuring four exhibitions, two documentaries, two plays, three concerts, and the I International Toy and Collectibles Fair at Castillo Sohail.
The Culture Department of Fuengirola has finalised the October agenda with a dozen proposals that will kick off after the Feria del Rosario. The councillor for the area, Rodrigo Romero, detailed that the month will include four exhibitions, two documentary screenings, two plays, three concerts, and the first edition of the International Toy and Collectibles Fair at Castillo Sohail.
The open exhibitions include the Bioparc Fuengirola exhibition celebrating its 25th anniversary, located along the Paseo Marítimo Rey de España until 18 October; the photographic exhibition 'Images of Fuengirola. 1960s', at the Manuel Delgado Perea Cultural Centre until 16 October; and the TENTE Construction Game exhibition at the City Museum until 6 November. On 28 October, the sculpture exhibition 'Nymphs', by Ahmad Ghoreishi, will be added and can be seen until 11 December at the Cultural Centre.
The Manuel Delgado Perea Cultural Centre will host the documentary 'Sea of Shadows' on 20 October at 19:00, with free entry until full capacity is reached, and 'Blue Carbon' on 27 October at 20:00, also free. Both will be in their original version with subtitles and in collaboration with Bioparc Fuengirola.
“We have an exciting and varied October ahead of us, with many activities that will logically begin after our Feria del Rosario,” explained Romero.
Theatre will arrive on 22 October at 20:00 with 'The Double Life of Virginia Woolf', by Mara Bonilla Producciones, organised by the Department of Families, Equality, and Social Welfare, and on 29 October at 20:00 with 'The Dogs' Colloquy', by La Góndola Producciones. Both will have tickets priced at five euros.
In music, the Ébano Jazz Quartet (Juanma Romero Vilches, Diego Suárez, Paco Peña, and Diego Martín) will perform on 23 October at 20:00 at the Cultural Centre, with tickets at five euros. On 30 October, at the same time, Marina Morles and Alfonso Guerrero will present the guitar and violin concert 'From Cádiz to Buenos Aires', also for five euros. The month will conclude on 31 October at 19:30 with the Municipal Music Band Concert at the Palacio de la Paz, with free access.
The International Toy and Collectibles Fair will take place on 31 October and 1 November at Castillo Sohail, with free entry. It will open on Saturday from 11:00 to 21:00 and on Sunday from 11:00 to 20:00.
Tickets for the paid performances can be purchased at entradas.fuengirola.es, at the information point in the Miramar Shopping Centre, and at the box office before each event.
