The Fuengirola City Council has addressed 951 incidents in Miramar Sur through the Gecor app so far this year, of which 865 have already been resolved, 91%. The district councillor, Francisco Javier García Lara, visits the area every Wednesday afternoon.

The Fuengirola City Council has resolved 865 of the 951 incidents reported by residents of Miramar Sur through the Gecor Juntos Fuengirola Avanza app this year, representing a 91% effectiveness. The remaining 86 are pending action or relate to larger technical interventions.

This was announced by the councillor responsible for the district, Francisco Javier García Lara, during a visit to the area alongside the Councillor for Citizen Action, Isabel Moreno. The councillor encouraged residents to continue communicating their needs through municipal channels.

“I want to remind all the residents of Miramar Sur that they have the Gecor Juntos Fuengirola Avanza app available to report any incidents to us. So far this year, 951 notifications have been recorded, and 865 have been completely finalised and resolved,” García Lara explained.

The majority of the notifications relate to lighting, pavements, cleaning, and gardening, according to the councillor, who attributed these results to the work of the Municipal Operational Services. García Lara noted that these efforts are reinforced with intensive cleaning plans and pressure washing.

The municipal representative for Miramar Sur visits the neighbourhood every Wednesday afternoon and on two other alternating days each week, walking around to check the condition of the streets. Additionally, residents can contact him directly via email at miramarsur@fuengirola.org.

These visits are in addition to those regularly conducted by the mayor, Ana Mula, along with other councillors from the government team. The last meeting with residents of Miramar Sur and Miramar Norte took place on April 22.

“This way of working, being out in the street and listening directly to the residents, shows that the City Council and the citizens are a team and that we work together to continue improving our neighbourhoods and the well-being of all,” García Lara stated.

Residents can report incidents through the Gecor Juntos Fuengirola Avanza App, the 24-hour hotline 900 20 20 50, the phones 952 58 23 20 and 662 862 320 (Monday to Friday, from 8:00 to 15:00), the Local Police (092) for emergency situations, and the municipal mailbox for inquiries, complaints, and suggestions on the Transparency Portal.
