The Town Hall of Fuengirola, through the Youth Department, has organised a new edition of International Youth Day on the upcoming 12th of August at Gran Parque de La Loma.
On the 12th of August, Gran Parque de La Loma in Fuengirola will host the celebration of International Youth Day, an event organised by the Town Hall through the Youth Department led by Isaac Vargas. The event will take place from 20:00 to 00:00 and will feature a varied programme of sports, leisure, and cultural activities.
The aim, as explained by Vargas, is for young people in Fuengirola to have a meeting space where they can enjoy a different night, promoting healthy lifestyle habits and coexistence. “Once again, we want to commemorate this date with a programme designed for young people to enjoy a night full of activities, sports, and fun,” the councillor stated.
The programme includes sports tournaments such as a doubles paddle tournament, the final of the 7-a-side football tournament, a volleyball tournament, and a 3x3 basketball tournament. There will also be a functional training demonstration. New additions include a finger skate demonstration, environmental workshops for all ages, and a musical performance by the group HACHE GZ and ADRIO O. Additionally, there will be a batucada workshop and a K-Pop dance competition.
Those interested in participating can register via the department's email (juventud@fuengirola.org) or through the Instagram profile Juventud_fuengirola. Vargas has thanked the collaboration of entities such as Club Salliver Fuengirola, Vóley Fuengirola, Polideportivo Fuengirola 92, Athletic Fuengirola, Alpfingerboard, and the Kpop Fuengirola Association, as well as the participating companies.
With this initiative, the Town Hall of Fuengirola reaffirms its commitment to young people, offering a healthy and active leisure space coinciding with the commemoration of International Youth Day.
