The Estepona team competes in the qualifying round of the Eurocup Women against the Italian GEAS Basket, with the first leg at the José Antonio Pineda and the return in Milan.

Impulso 360 Estepona now knows its first opponent in its European journey. The team coached by César Aneas will face Italian GEAS Basket in the qualifying round of the Eurocup Women 2026/27, a two-legged series that will decide which team advances to the group stage.

The first leg will take place at the Pabellón José Antonio Pineda in Estepona, while the return leg will be held at the Palazzetto dello Sport Sandro Allende in Milan on October 1. The point difference will determine advancement to the next round.

A Familiar Rival in European Competition

GEAS Basket is not unknown to Spanish basketball. Last season, the Italian team faced Baxi Ferrol in the first round of the Eurocup Women playoffs, being eliminated after losing both matches. Now, Impulso 360 Estepona will try to replicate the feat of the Galician team.

Notable names in the Italian roster include Laura Cornelius, an international with the Netherlands and experienced in the Spanish league; Julianna Okosun, an international with Denmark; and Americans Madison Hayes and Lani White. The captain Sara Toffolo is the national reference of the team.

Potential Group Stage Rivals

If Impulso 360 Estepona surpasses the qualifying round, it would join Group C of the Eurocup Women. There, it would face Belgian Castors Braine, a team it already defeated in pre-season; German Alba Berlin, which has a strong Spanish presence in its structure; and the loser of the qualifying round of the Euroleague Women between Greek Panathinaikos and Turkish Emlak Konut, the latter featuring players like Petra Holesinska, Astou Ndour, and Antonia Delaere.

The group stage would start on October 15 and run until December 3, with six matchdays spread over that period. The subsequent knockout rounds would take place in 2027.

For Estepona fans, the first leg at the José Antonio Pineda will be a unique opportunity to see their team in continental competition. Tickets will soon be available through the club's official channels.
