The Estepona City Council has begun the development of the roof of the public parking for the future boulevard, which will have over 300 spaces at 1 euro a day.
The City Council of Estepona has initiated the development work on the roof of the public parking being built under the future boulevard of the city. This parking, which adds to the municipal parking network with a fee of 1 euro a day, will have more than 300 spaces.
According to the project technicians, the foundation of the parking is 100% completed and its structure is already at 95%. The development of the boulevard is finished in its southern area and nearly completed in the sections of Avenida España and Juan Carlos I, where pedestrian traffic is already allowed.
These days, workers are connecting Avenida Juan Carlos I with the streets San Roque and Melilla. During the summer, the underground network channels were also completed: electricity, telecommunications, drinking water, irrigation, and sewage.
The future boulevard will be the culmination of the municipal project ‘Estepona, Garden of the Costa del Sol’. Once completed, it will connect the areas of Avenida España, Juan Carlos I, and San Lorenzo with the old town and the promenade, creating a large public space with squares, walkways, water features, and parks.
The project includes spaces for taxi stops, loading and unloading next to shops, areas for motorcycles, electric vehicles, and bicycle parking.
