The Town Hall puts the works out to tender for €3,049,783, with €700,000 from the Provincial Council. 10.5 km of streets will be renewed in 90 days.
The Benalmádena Town Hall has put the 2024 Resurfacing Plan out to tender, the third of the mandate, with a base budget of €3,049,783 (including VAT) and an execution period of 90 calendar days. The intervention will renew more than 62,000 square metres of pavement across 10.5 kilometres of streets throughout the municipality.
The Councillor for Roads and Works, José Luis Bergillos, emphasised that "this is already the third resurfacing plan we are launching during this mandate, which demonstrates this government team's strong commitment to progressively improving the condition of our streets." The investment includes a contribution of €700,000 from the Provincial Council of Málaga through the PAEM.
The works will take place at numerous points in the municipality. Among the affected streets are Berlín, Bruselas, Londres, Roma, Verdi, Ángel de la Riva Resines, Dinamarca, Rosa, Moscatel, Madrid, Araucaria, Bajondillo, Matogroso, Membrillo, Brezo, Castaño, Calabaza, Willy Manchot, Anacardo, Luis Cernuda, Sierra Bermeja (main and secondary), Medina Azahara (plots A and B), Finlandia, and Miraflores.
Works will also be carried out on the avenues de la Hacienda, de la Vista, and del Chorrillo, as well as on the paths del Caserío, de la Era, La Loma, and de la Dehesa. The plan includes improvements to the roundabouts at the intersections of Berlín and Madrid and Madrid and Granada, as well as parking areas on the avenue de la Hacienda, and the streets Araucaria, Matogroso, Membrillo, Castaño, Willy Manchot, Luis Cernuda, avenue del Chorrillo, and Sierra Bermeja.
The tender is being processed through an open and urgent procedure. Interested companies can submit their offers electronically until 15 September. Bergillos thanked "the support of the Málaga Provincial Council, which contributes €700,000 through the PAEM and thus helps us continue to undertake necessary investments to improve our infrastructure and public spaces."
The councillor insisted that "more than 10 kilometres of streets will experience significant improvement, adding to all the work done with the two previous resurfacing plans." With this action, the government team continues its commitment to renewing the road network, improving safety, mobility, and the image of the municipality.
