Lexus has announced a helicopter transport service operated by Aero Toyota Co. that will start at the end of August with a customised Leonardo AW169, capable of flying at 267 km/h and with a range of 785 kilometres.
Lexus is expanding its mobility offerings with a helicopter transport service that will begin operations at the end of August. The Japanese company, owned by Toyota, aims to cover land, sea, and air with a comprehensive proposal, as reported by Diario Sur.
The service will be managed by Aero Toyota Co. and will start with a customised Leonardo AW169 helicopter, manufactured in Italy. The aircraft features two Pratt & Whitney Canada PW210A1 turboshaft engines, reaches a cruising speed of 267 km/h, and has a range of nearly 785 kilometres.
The cabin accommodates seven passengers and is designed to reduce noise and vibrations. It includes Wi-Fi connectivity, exterior viewing cameras, an entertainment system, and tablets to control lighting and temperature. The auxiliary power unit mode (APU) allows for climate control inside before passengers board, even with the rotors stopped.
Lexus's approach includes a chauffeur who picks up the client at their starting point with one of its vehicles and transports them to the helipad, which acts as the beginning of a new mobility ecosystem. The brand presented its message, "Discover: imitate no one," at the Japan Mobility Show 2025 and had already ventured into the nautical sector with its flagship yacht, the LY680.
