The State Meteorological Agency forecasts a maximum of 33 degrees and a minimum of 26 for Málaga this Thursday, July 16, with clear skies and winds of up to 30 km/h.

This Thursday, July 16, will bring a day marked by heat and a complete absence of precipitation to the capital of Málaga. According to data from the State Meteorological Agency (Aemet), the thermometer will reach a maximum of 33 degrees, while the minimum will remain at 26 degrees, indicating a warm night more typical of mid-August.

The probability of rain is 0% throughout the day, with cloud cover not exceeding 6% during the night hours. The sun will shine unopposed, so those planning to go outside should protect themselves adequately: the ultraviolet index will soar to 11, a level considered extreme by the World Health Organization.

Wind and Feels-like Temperature

The wind will blow from the south with gusts reaching 30 kilometres per hour during the day, slightly decreasing to 28 km/h at night. This gentle breeze will help to somewhat alleviate the muggy feeling, although the ambient humidity, typical of the Málaga coast, will make the temperature feel higher than what the thermometers indicate.

Experts remind us that in Málaga, the phenomenon of “terral”, that dry and warm wind which can push temperatures up to 44 degrees, is not expected for this day. However, the conditions of atmospheric stability will keep the heat relentless, especially during the central hours of the day.

Recommendations for Málaga Residents

In light of this situation, the Málaga City Council recommends that the public avoid sun exposure between 12:00 and 17:00, hydrate frequently, and use high-factor sunscreen. The most vulnerable groups, such as children and the elderly, should take extra precautions.

The beaches of the capital, such as Malagueta or Pedregalejo, will be a good refuge, but it is worth noting that the water temperature hovers around 22 degrees, ideal for a refreshing swim. Beach bars expect a busy day, with terraces full from early on.

Looking ahead to the coming days, the trend continues: the heat will not relent at least until the weekend, with maximums remaining around 32-33 degrees. Those who love good weather have reasons to smile, although those suffering from the heat are already dreaming of relief that, for now, is not forthcoming.
