Málaga, August 6, 2026.- The Málaga Local Police has issued a total of 241 fines on the municipality's beaches since the start of the special surveillance operation, activated from June 15 and which will remain in place until September 30.
Fines Related to Street Vending and Camping
Of the 241 fines, 116 have been related to unauthorised street vending activities. This includes the sale of food products such as pastries, soft drinks, alcoholic cocktails, and fruits, as well as 65 infringements related to textile products and other items.
The Local Police warns about the risks associated with consuming food and drinks without health control. In previous years, the presence of vendors offering mojitos and other products without proper authorisation or supervision has been detected.
Another area of focus has been camping. In recent weeks, 14 fines have been issued for this concept, especially on beaches such as Malagueta and Peñón del Cuervo. Additionally, 7 fines have been recorded for the possession of animals along the coast.
Infringements and Other Safety Aspects
Regarding the Citizen Coexistence ordinance, the Local Police has filed 59 fines, highlighting 17 for persistently or intimidatingly offering goods and services, including massages typically performed by unqualified individuals.
In terms of safety, a bladed weapon has been seized and 36 reports have been filed for drug consumption or possession of narcotic substances. Surveillance is also conducted on the improper use of boat ramps and parking violations.
To carry out these functions, the Local Police has both uniformed and plainclothes units patrolling the beaches from Churriana to Peñón del Cuervo, and they also conduct night surveillance. Additionally, drones, quads, and buggies are used to support the service.
