The Unified Málaga Association of Taxi Self-Employed (AUMAT) positively assesses the work of the sector during the Málaga Fair 2026, highlighting the role of coordinators, teleoperators, and police collaboration.
The Unified Málaga Association of Taxi Self-Employed (AUMAT) has reviewed the Málaga Fair 2026 and wanted to publicly acknowledge the effort of the entire collective during days of peak activity in the city.
The taxi once again proved to be a pillar of Málaga's mobility, serving thousands of citizens and visitors amid a notable increase in demand. The association particularly emphasizes the role of the stop coordinators, who organized the service during long hours, managed incidents, and facilitated the operation of pick-up points.
It also thanks the work of the teleoperators of UNITAXI, whose constant coordination with professionals was key during peak demand times and helped expedite user assistance.
“I want to thank all my colleagues, our coordinators, and the UNITAXI team for the great work done during the Fair. We have once again demonstrated that, by working together and in coordination, the taxi responds and meets the needs of a city like Málaga”
These words are from the president of AUMAT, Miguel Ángel Martín, who has conveyed his gratitude to all the professionals who worked during the festivities.
The association also values the collaboration of the Local Police and the National Police, whose intervention in response to recorded incidents was crucial for maintaining safety and the proper development of the service.
From AUMAT, they believe that the Fair once again demonstrates the importance of the taxi as an essential service for mobility in Málaga, especially during events that gather thousands of people.
Looking to the future, the association plans to analyze with the administrations and the sector the incidents and needs identified to improve the organization of future operations and continue advancing in the modernization and professionalization of the taxi.
With this assessment, AUMAT concludes a period in which the sector has once again demonstrated its capacity to respond to one of the greatest mobility challenges on the Málaga calendar.
