The Town Hall of Alhaurín de la Torre and the Civil Guard have agreed to intensify surveillance after several home burglaries. The bidding for the new barracks was also discussed.
The Town Hall of Alhaurín de la Torre and the Civil Guard have reinforced surveillance in the municipality after several recent home burglaries were reported. This was agreed upon in a working meeting held between the mayor, Joaquín Villanova, and the councillor for Citizen Security and Mobility, Francisco José Sánchez, along with the heads of the Main Civil Guard Post, which was also attended by the chief of the Local Police.
The meeting, which is held periodically several times a year in addition to the Local Security Board, served to review the actions being taken by the force and to analyse the security of the municipality. According to the mayor, the collaboration and coordination between the Town Hall and the Armed Institute is "maximum" and both institutions are willing to work together in the field of citizen security.
Another issue discussed was the status of the construction of the new Civil Guard barracks, whose works are already in the bidding phase. The events that will take place in Alhaurín de la Torre on October 12 in celebration of the Day of the Pilar, the patron saint of the force, were also addressed.
