The Metropolitan Transport Consortium of the Málaga Area activates the M-424 line between Pinos de Alhaurín and the Fair's venue. There will be ten daily departures and discounts with the transport card.
The municipality of Alhaurín de la Torre will once again have a direct bus service to the Málaga Fair. The M-424 line, promoted by the Metropolitan Transport Consortium of the Málaga Area (CTMAM), will operate from August 15 to 22 with departures from Pinos de Alhaurín and returns from the Cortijo de Torres.
In total, ten daily departures to and from will connect both points, with an estimated travel time of 40 minutes. The schedules have been designed to accommodate both those arriving in the early afternoon and those returning in the early morning.
The councillor for the area, Francisco José Sánchez, has highlighted that the departure options have been expanded to meet all public demand. The M-424 route is the same as in previous editions and maintains intermediate stops in Alhaurín de la Torre, both on the way to and from the fair.
Prices and discounts
The single ticket will cost 4.50 euros per journey, while users of the Consortium's Transport Card will pay 2.80 euros per trip. The CTMAM reminds that using the card allows for savings of nearly 40% on each journey.
The first departure from Pinos de Alhaurín will be at 15:35, with an estimated arrival at the Fair's venue at 16:15. The last one, at 02:10, will arrive at its destination at 02:50. In the opposite direction, the first return from the Cortijo de Torres is scheduled for 16:45 and the last at 04:15, according to the official poster.
The Consortium emphasizes the advantages of opting for public transport over private vehicles: it avoids traffic jams, alcohol checks, and fuel or parking costs, as well as reducing CO2 emissions. For those arriving by car, the service allows them to forget about searching for parking in an area that is particularly crowded during the festivities.
